Texas Holdem (also spelled Texas Hold'em) is a member of the family of poker games known as "community games." Each player is dealt two private cards, then five "community cards" are dealt face up in the center of the table. During the showdown, each player tries to make the best poker hand possible by choosing the best five cards from the seven available to them (the two in their hand and the five on the table.)
