About the Beta period
Best Texas Holdem aims to be just that: the best place to play poker on the web. Our philosophy is based on a few key principals:
- Respect for you, the player: We won't spam you or try to trick you.
- Fun playability for both beginners and experienced players.
- Easy to get started - no downloads or plugins required.
We've done a lot of testing on the software, but Best Texas Holdem is still in its early stages, so there may be some initial kinks to work out. For this reason, we are announcing the beginning of a Beta period.
What to Expect
We're already hard at work on a whole bunch of new features and improvements. Here's what you can expect to see in the days and weeks to come:
- Tournament play
- No-Limit and Pot-Limit play
- Visual improvements - We want to be one of the best looking places to play poker, too!
- Performance improvements - If something doesn't work the way it should, we'll fix it. If it's too slow, we'll speed it up.
- Facebook integration - Soon you'll be able to challenge your friends and play right inside Facebook.
- More help - We're working on improving the help and rules sections, so even beginners can easily become Poker Pros.

How the Beta period works
If you sign up to play now, you will receive an initial payroll of 1,000 chips, plus another 500 for each day you log in.
To help us uncover any possible problems, we would like to encourage your feedback. So you can gain an additional 1,000 chip bonus by communicating with us - tell us what you like, tell us what you don't like, tell us what's broken. (Of course, you can't send 50 blank emails to keep racking up chips. Only meaningful communication counts.)
Plus, once the Beta period is over, you get to keep all the chips you earned, plus an additional 5,000. That will give you a head start on every other player.
